Oh, hello. I wasn’t expecting to see you today. Or any of the days you’ve visited this week. What brings you by?

You’re not sure? That’s interesting. I’m not sure why you’re visiting either, yet here you are.

Welcome, I suppose. Pull up a chair. Let’s talk this over.

What’s on your mind?

Yes, I know things haven’t gone as we expected. Much more volatile and unpredictable than anticipated.

Feeling a bit lost? Unsure what to do? Lonely as well, are we?

That does help explain your visit. Still, does coming by help the situation?

I know you feel the need to make an appearance when these things happen, but you can be so smothering.

I like company, but not yours.

Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude. I know you’re trying to help out. You want to give me that extra nudge to run away from the scary things. But honestly, running isn’t what I need to do right now.

This visit is going to have to be cut short. Calm and Mindfulness are on their way over, and this place isn’t big enough for all of us.

Thank you for coming by. Next time I see a bear or a bobcat, I’ll give you a call.
